Exercise: Reality Check

It’s convenient to believe we’re trapped as it can excuse our inaction. Sometimes of course we are trapped. But often this is the result of a fixed mindset and we need to open up our minds to tear down those walls that can keep us imprisoned.

It’s naive - and frankly reckless - to think that most people in a corporate job can simply walk out if they choose - most of us have responsibilities: children, homes, lifestyles, bills, the future.

But once we frame some of those responsibilities differently we can see there may be less dependency that we imagine. Or, with careful planning, we may be able to meet those responsibilities differently.

This is an exercise to harness that rational corporate mind to find alternatives and mitigations.
