Exercise: Identity Statement

You’ll need a new identity when you’ve left your corporate job - because you’ll no longer be defined by a company, but by yourself. Exciting!

There’s a risk of being too vague about your new identity that other people start to define you - and it may neither be accurate not flattering.

It’s time to become a bit more deliberate, a bit more intentional about your identity, so you can use it to your advantage.

I recommend three statements of varying lengths that describe what you will do once you have left: The fob-off, The interest-piquer and The pitch.
